When changing the item's modification date through this property, the physical item is immediately modified if it exists. If it does not exist, the date is cached and will be applied whenever this item is created.
Some types of items may not expose a modification date and time. In this case, an exception is thrown when trying to read or modify the modification date.
Other types of items that do expose a modification date and time may not have the information available. In this case, System.DateTime.MinValue is returned.
