Parameters

pnf

The PageNumberFormat to use. The value can be null. 

index

The index at which to insert the PageNumber placeholder.

The PageNumber placeholder should only be inserted in a Header or Footer Paragraph. Word will not update this field automatically if it is inserted in a document-level Paragraph.

Also note that the property Section.PageNumberType can be used to format page numbers .
