    ChildColumnNames Property (MergedColumn)
    In This Topic
    Gets or sets the list of child column names.
    Syntax
    'Declaration

    Public Property ChildColumnNames As String
    'Usage

    Dim instance As MergedColumn
    Dim value As String

    instance.ChildColumnNames = value

    value = instance.ChildColumnNames
    public string ChildColumnNames {get; set;}

    Property Value

    A string containing the child column names, each value separated by a non-alphanumeric character,  like a space, a colon, a semi-colon (by default, a space).

    If column names contain any of these characters, names can be placed within double quotes ("") and they will be interpreted as literals instead of separators.

    In version 6.3 and up, the ".", "[" and "]" symbols are reserved and are considered as being part of the column name.

    • - the "." is used to specify sub-properties (ex: Property.SubProperty). In version 6.2 and prior, the name has to be specified in quotes for this to work.
    • - the "[" and "]" are used to make it easier to specify indexes (ex: Items[0]).
