Improvements

Fixes

  • PdfDocument (v3.1) Shared state no longer prevents independent PDF documents from being manipulated in parallel.
  • Opacity — Loading a PDF document where Image, Watermark, Brush, or Pen opacity values are outside the 0 to 1 range no longer throws an ArgumentOutOfRangeException. The library now clamps each value to between 0 and 1 inclusive.
  • DocumentPdf — In PdfDocument raw content, the dictionary tokenizer now validates its opening delimiter and rejects input that does not start with a double angle bracket. Document parsing behavior is unchanged.
  • PdfDocument (v3.1)\nIn PdfDocument raw content, literal strings using carriage-return or Windows-style line endings, including backslash line continuations, are now decoded correctly. Octal character escapes ending immediately before a parenthesis are also decoded correctly.
  • DocumentPdf — Names in raw PDF content that are separated from the following token by a tab, form-feed, or null character, and names immediately followed by a comment, are now parsed correctly.
  • DocumentPdf — Hexadecimal strings in the raw content are now correctly parsed when separated by tab, form-feed, or null characters. Additionally, strings with an odd number of digits are now decoded properly.
  • DocumentPdf — In PdfDocument raw content, a carriage-return/line-feed pair is now tokenized as a single end-of-line marker instead of two.
  • DocumentPdf — Operator tokens in raw content within PdfDocument that are immediately followed by a comment or a curly brace are now parsed correctly.
  • DocumentPdf — Stream tokens in PdfDocument raw content are now read in compliance with the PDF specification.

Words for .NET 6.1

What's new

  • New property in document class can enable or disable TrackChange option for word document. ex: document.TrackChangesEnabled =true;
  • HTML Content — The Paragraph class now includes a new AddHtmlContent() method, allowing HTML content to be inserted within or appended to an existing paragraph, converting the markup to Words formatting.
  • HTML Content — The HTML parser now supports MathML content. Mathematical formulas using the <math> element are converted when HTML content is inserted into a document.
  • Document — MathML content is now converted to native Word equations when importing HTML. Equations produced by MathJax – read from the data-mathml attribute – are inserted as editable OMML objects covering fractions, radicals, sub- and superscripts, n-ary operators, fenced expressions and matrices, in both paragraphs and table cells.

Fixes

  • Word document, bookmarks. When replacing a bookmark's content, bookmark's foot style were not preserve. Fixed
  • In Convert to PDF, TextBoxes defined with the legacy VML syntax (w:pict) are now converted. Note: grouped shapes are flattened rather than overlaid, and shapes positioned in absolute relative to the text are placed after the text of their paragraph rather than being wrapped by it.
  • Conversion PDF — In Convert to PDF, the image of a signed signature line is now rendered, together with the signature line and the name of the signer. Note: On .NET 5 and above, SkiaSharp cannot decode metafiles, so the signature line placeholder is not drawn on that target, only the signature image is drawn.
  • Conversion PDF — In Convert to PDF, TextBoxes internal margins and the indentation of their paragraphs are preserved.
  • Conversion PDF — In Convert to PDF, custom lists using a specific numbering, including levels with no number format, are now rendered with the same values as Word.
  • Conversion PDF — In Convert to PDF, GetPageCount() now returns the correct value for documents using full page images anchored over the text.
  • Conversion PDF — In Convert to PDF, the content of Tables that span multiple pages no longer gets cut off during the conversion process.
  • HTML Parser — Inserting HTML content with a heading no longer throws an exception.
  • HTML Parser — Inserting HTML content that contains a base64-encoded image no longer throws an exception. The image is now decoded and added to the document.
  • HTML Parser (6.1) Tables in inserted HTML content now retain their styling, and symbol characters inside table cells are preserved.
  • HTML Parser (6.1)\nLists in inserted HTML content now maintain their original numbering type and indentation, including nested ordered lists that differ from their parent list's numbering style.
  • Conversion PDF — Fixed an issue where using an external font during PDF conversion could cause a System.OverflowException.
