Previous implementations of Xceed Zip for .NET (before 2.0.200) only supported this interface via the FileSystemItem.RootFolder property. Only the root folder of a FileSystemItem needed to implement this interface to support it for every child.
The default implementation does not break this behavior. It queries the FileSystemItem.RootFolder property for IBatchUpdateable support.
If a FileSystemItem does not support this interface, this property can be overridden and return NULL. This will improve performance by avoiding unnecessary access to the FileSystemItem.RootFolder property.
