    Property Value

    The current position within the stream.The current position within the stream.
    Exceptions
    ExceptionDescription
    System.IO.IOExceptionAn I/O error occurs.
    System.NotSupportedExceptionThe stream does not support seeking.
    System.ObjectDisposedExceptionMethods were called after the stream was closed.
    Remarks

    The stream must support seeking to get or set the position. You can use the CanSeek property to determine if the stream supports seeking.

    Seeking to any location beyond the length of the stream is supported.

    The Position property does not keep track of the number of bytes from the stream that have been consumed, skipped, or both.
