Basta 2025 has been an incredible experience so far. We had the chance to meet a wide range of companies, many of which share challenges similar to Xceed’s. It was equally valuable to speak directly with our users — and even more eye-opening to meet developers who had never heard of Xceed before. That alone is a clear reminder of how important it is for us to be more present at events like this.
I thought it would be interesting to share some of the key challenges we heard from users working with .NET in 2025. When we asked which technologies they’re using, we got a very common response: Angular or WPF for the frontend, and .NET for the backend. That’s great news for us, since Xceed offers solutions tailored for both of these platforms. We had great conversations around Xceed DataGrid for JavaScript/WPF, and many users discovered for the first time just how many libraries Xceed offers to power their backends.
One product that stood out in terms of interest was Xceed Words para .NET. For better or worse, Office document formats aren’t going anywhere, and modern solutions are needed to handle them. Manipulating DOCX files and exporting them as PDFs is still absolutely critical for a huge number of software projects. And of course, Excel continues to dominate the world more than it probably should (yes, project managers — we see you tracking tasks in spreadsheets!). That’s exactly why Xceed Workbooks para .NET is such a valuable tool, helping developers work with these formats in a clean, efficient way.
We also had some interesting conversations about .NET MAUI, particularly with WPF users who are exploring what’s next for their applications. That said, Silverlight came up — a lot — as the reason many developers are hesitant to trust MAUI. I did my best to reassure people: this isn’t the same story. Xceed works closely with Microsoft, and we’ve seen first-hand their strong commitment to MAUI. It’s a platform we believe in, and one we’re actively supporting.
Finally, something I found myself repeating (and worth emphasizing again) — Xceed libraries work on anything that runs .NET. That includes WinForms, multi-platform console apps, ASP.NET, Blazor, and more. We even provide samples showing how to use our products with Docker. In other words, if your stack runs .NET, you can confidently use Xceed products — whether you’re targeting Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, or Android.
Overall, Basta 2025 has been an inspiring and energizing experience. I’m excited to follow up and continue working with the fantastic users and companies we had the privilege to meet this week.
