We use the PropertyGrids in our app and need to cover them with automated UI tests, but the PropertyGrid Control doesn’t support the test automation interfaces for UI Automation (UIA).

We only get the categories from the property grid but not the properties itself and their values – inspect.exe does not list any elements under categories’ GroupBoxes.

Is it a deliberate design decision to not support UI Automation in PropertyGrid?
Does someone knows a workaround so that we still can test it?

    Regards, Greg

    Hi,

The UIAutomation has not been implemented in the Toolkit. This would be a big feature to add, mainly in the PropertyGrid, and would take a while to complete. We have no timeframe regarding when this would be available. However, we will notify you by email as soon as we have any update in this regards.

Added in Toolkit v3.3 : all Toolkit controls now support UI Automation.
