Hi Andrea, since I don't know exactly what is going on with your connection, I can only give you a direction, not a solution.  You could monitor the ftp client state.  The possible states are Broken, Closed, Connecting, Executing, Fetching and Open.  So you could add to your code: AddHandler udtLocalFtpConnection.StateChanged, ...
