Right click on the control on your form, choose ''properties'', tab ''ListImages''. Then add your icons.
In the ''SmartItems'' tab assign the key of each icon to the ''image'' property of each smartitem.

No, it only supports Office XP look in the ActiveX version of the control.

According to me this is a XP feature and has nothing to do with SmartUI control.

Try this:
Add a Label control to your form, set it to autosize.
Now assign the smartitem text to the label control.
Set the width of the label control to match the width of the item.
Now use the height property of the label control to set the height of the item

The SmartUI control doesn't have a .hWnd property nor a .Picture property, so it will be hard.
