Drag & Drop with SmartUI TreeView

    Hi there,

does anyone know, if it is possible to implement Drag&Drop by using Xceed TreeView? I have created a small demo application with SmartUI TreeView. Nothing happened as I draged a node in the tree view.

Does anyone have an idea, why it did not work?

    Thanks a lot!

    Best regards,

Re: Drag & Drop with SmartUI TreeView

Have a look at KB article 409, which has a downloadable demo of how to enable drag & drop:

I don't know if the search engine on the knowledge base is broken or what, but I can't reference 409. How can I get this sample code?

Re: Drag & Drop with SmartUI TreeView

Here is the article in question from the knowledge base:

    Article number 409

    Brief description
Can I drag and drop a SmartItem within a SmartControl?

    Long description
Is it possible to drag and drop a SmartItem within a SmartControl? For example, if I have a SmartTreeView control, is it possible to allow my users to rearrange the position of the nodes?

    Solution
Yes. It is possible to drag and drop SmartItems within a SmartControl.

A VB.NET sample that demonstrates the required implementation is available for download.
