inserting new row with combobox doesn't register values

    hello,

we've read a lot of  threads on this forum but we believe they either don't apply to our case or the explanations are not sufficient because we've tried nearly all of them - or have we missed something?

our case is like this - we use datagrid conected to a datatable. one of the columns of retreived table contains an id of an element from the other so we use a combobox which shows the name of an element in function of its id. we looked at the example of xceed and everything works out well for retreiving data and changing data already existing records. when it comes to inserting new data with a use of insertion row only the textbox-alike fields are stored in the datatable-behind correctly. the combobox is empty and no value is stored in the datatable.

so - there are no binding errors in visual studio, it must be done properly if changes to already existing records are remembered without any problem. what can be a couse and how to workaround it?

thanks in advance for any help!

oh - and it's a xbap application. in fact copying the whole example project into xbap doesn't work while copying it to window application works... is there really no difference noticed between xbap and window?

Is this question for the WPF DataGrid or for .NET Grid?
