is v1.1 of the FTP ActiveX library discontinued?

If the version is no longer supported/updated, we'd need to
know and switch to another component vendor.

Btw, we currently use 1.1.4579.0 of the XCeedFtp.dll,
which is dated May 27, 2005. Are there no updates at
all since then?

Oh my gosh no, Xceed FTP Library is not discontinued! This is a great selling product, with much demand. Only, there haven't been any major bugs requiring an update, until now. There will be an update next week, in fact.

really includes v1.1 and not only .NET?

Will the upcoming update to v1.1 be available for your existing
customers even without a running support plan?

Odi is talking about the ActiveX, and the upcoming release is a simple update available for everyone. Check the Update Center next week.

I'm also looking for the Xceedftp for VB6 (not .NET)

I have some legacy applications that are written in VB6 that must continue to be supported.

I just looked in the Update Center and I don't see anything for Xceedftp that doesn't say .NET next to it.

All ActiveX components are included in the any package you download, except for the service pack. So I recommend you install the latest package (3.0....), and you will get the latest version (6.0) of Xceed Zip Compression Library.

The MSI file is about 64 Million bytes to download, then it balloons up and nearly filled by C: drive when processing the MSI file.

Seems overkill to download that MSI file just to get a 250kb dll

Is their a smaller package to just get the latest VB6 dll for xceedftp?

We do not provide product by product package. However, you can install only the products you want when running the MSI.
