    Re: Roadmap 2009 / 2010

I would like to specify the distinct values of certain columns.

Most of my data grids are updated during runtime. Some column have a fixed set of possible vaules (e.g. "True / False"  or "High / Medium  / Low / None"). For those column I would like to specify the distinct values to enable the user to filter for "High" even if the current rows don't contain this value yet.

    Thank you for data grid.

    Re: Roadmap 2009

Is there any news about TreeGrid release? We are currently evaluating WPF Grids. And Xceed leads. But we obligatory need TreeGrid. No Tree, no buy :(

    Re: Roadmap 2009

Are you referring to a grid with one column acting as a tree?

    Yes, something like this: http://devexpress.com/Products/NET/Controls/WinForms/Tree_List/i/screenshots/fixedcolumns.gif
This is a central part of our application. Financial statements are hierarchycal and has multiple columns with values. I wonder how other financial applications display such information. Absence of such feature is a big show stopper for financial applications using WPF.

Janus windows form grid had the same feature and it's called self-reference. In short, there are 2 columns in the grid which has a parent/child relation, for example, in northwind employeee, you have employeeid and reportto field, the grid then create the tree view for you automatically.

Yes for WinForms there is many tree-grids. But there is 0, zero, null, nothing for WPF. Very sad. I think it should have more priority than 3d, carusel, whatever grids.

    Re: Roadmap 2009 / 2010

    Hi Paras,

Our DataGrid is used by Visual Studio 2010, meaning Microsoft used it when they developed VS2010, just like how you use it in your own applications.

It is not however an included component to people who buy VS2010, they must still purchase our DataGrid separately if they want to use it in their own development.

Daniel, a lot of us are at the PDC, and now that it is over, we should be back on track for our regular and frequent releases.

** EDIT: A service release is scheduled for the week of December 14, 2009 **

    Re: Roadmap 2009 / 2010

    Hi Odi,

Couple of things we need in our project:

    1. Something like CellEditorTemplateSelector that enables custom editor on a per-row level base on some logic.
    2. An UI that enables end users to select stat functions at run time on a column of their choosing.

    Thnaks,

    Shahaf.

Can you please let me know what other automation tools are supported in "V3.5, End of August 2009 [Released]:" release, referring to "Works with certain automated testing tools (but not QTP)" here.
