    Re: Roadmap 2009

    Hi Tatyana,

I have submitted a feature request for the tab navigation when not in edit mode. As for the cell editors disappearing, that has been fixed and will be available in the next version (currently planned for end of August / early September).

    Re: Roadmap 2009

Just an observation. If you're going to call this next version 3.5, there's lots of references to .NET 3.5 with the Xceed grid when searching Google etc. Just thought you should know as it will make finding reviews, posts on version 3.5 etc a bit harder.

    Re: Roadmap 2009

    Pratik, Paras,

Thanks for your requests. I don't think search will make it into the grid until sometime in Q2 2010, my best estimate. Working on improved printing, even higher perf, a couple of spreadsheet-style features, and other requests, for v4.0. (V3.3 is coming out soon, that one has already completed and awaiting release).

    Re: Roadmap 2009

    I have following feature request

    • Merged cells. I would like the ability to display merged cells in the header so that related cols can be group together.
    • Easier Numeric formatting for the numeric data cells rather can creating customized cell templates. Currently its not possible to automatically insert thousand separator as the user types the numbers. This feature is very much desired for financial companies where the users are required to enter numbers in millions.
    • Export to PDF.
    • More themes.
    • Ability to change the color of a column.

    Re: Roadmap 2009

hi can u add one More Feature to RoadMap 2009

==>First Level Formatting to Exported Excel (Auto Fit Columns,Header Cells Background Color and Cell Background Color )(You can Refer teleric WPF Grid Export Functionality for the same)

specially when we export grouped Grid Data

like if my grid is having 3 columns ID, Name , Status, and when I have Grouped with Status Currently it is Giving like below

    Status:<Status1>(1 Item )

    ID1    Name1   Status1

    Status:<Status2>(2 Item )

    ID2    Name2   Status2

    ID3    Name3   Status2

But as per my View The Ideal Format of Above Should Be some thing like belove

    (+ -)Status:<Status1>(1 Item )

                                        ID1         Name1       Status1

    (+ -)Status:<Status2>(2 Item )

                                       ID2         Name2        Status2

                                       ID3        Name3        Status2

means Indented and nothing in Column of Grouping, ID Starts from second Column , (If two Grouping is there then ID starts with 3rd Column)

and If Possible "Row Outline" of excel in place of (+ -)

    Re: Roadmap 2009

    Jenny:
Version 3.3 does included animated column reordering but it does not include support for dragging rows to change their order.

    Hi Jenny,

Full row Drag&Drop functionnality (from one Xceed to the same Xceed, from one Xceed to another one and from one Xceed to another WPF component) could be very usefull (major need for our customers) to us for reordering our data. Could it be possible for you to implement this feature in one of the very next releases ?

Effectively we intended to implement it ourselves but we face major problems (unstable) making it impossible to deliver it.

     Thanks a lot.

    Re: Roadmap 2009 / 2010

    Hello ODI,

hello Xceed members, we are eager to know whether the new version you released include the new filtering option of "Starts With", "Ends With", "Equals",etc operator or not?
We had look at the live explorer of the Xceed 3.5 version but it does not include any new filtering options  but it is same as previous version. We found that it is written in the release note of version 3.5 that there are new filtering option.

So, Kindly reply us for the new filtering option if any available in the new version.

    Thanks,

    Paras Sanghani

Yes. Version 3.5 includes the "starts with" and "ends with" filter criteria.

    Re: Roadmap 2009 / 2010

    Hello,

Jenny but we need to write the "*"  followed by the search text , suppose i want to search for the records having names that starts with "a"  then i have make the filter criteria as Starts With then it is not working but we need to write "a*" for it to work. If we write only "a" then it is giving me the records that contains "a" not records starting with "a".

We are using the DataGridCollecitonView dv as itemssource and then currently we are doing filtering based on dv.Filter as Xceed is not giving starts with, ends with in its filter row so we need to do such custom coding for our clients to have all the filters.

    Thanks,

    Paras Sanghani

I would love to see enhanced filtering capabilities especially when using data virtualization.
