    XCEEDZIP slow on SSDs

    Hello

After migration from an normal Harddisk to a SSD XCEEDZIP works much slower extracting files from an existing ZIP-File.

Zipping files to a new ZIP-File works fine and fast.

I read that other Zip-Tools (f.e. 7Zip) extract files in a temporary directory if the target-directory is on a "changing" hard drive or USB-Stick.

After disabling this temporary behavior such Zip-Tools work fast again.

I searched the XCEEDZIP-Properties but didn't find the right one.

What do I have to do, to get a fast extraction of files on a SSD ?

    Kind Regards

    Jürgen

    Hi,

Which version of the Xceed Zip Compression Library are you using? If you are not using the latest version (6.5), are you able to download and try the component to see if it meets your needs? Also, are you able to send us a small self-contained sample application so that we can investigate to see exactly what you are doing? You can download the trial here (trial period is valid for 45 days).
