does Xceed Compression attempt to hit the Internet at start up?

we have noticed that our apps running on the regular dev boxes are lightning fast, but in production (with much faster hardware), it takes at least a minute to get past the first Xceed Compression function call.   Our production boxes do not have Internet access.

Is it possible that Xceed libraries attempt to go out to the Internet to check for the latest version perhaps (at initialization time)?  Some remote license check? Is there a setting to turn this off?

    Thank you

    Hi Alex,

We ship two versions of our assemblies: signed and unsigned. Please make sure to reference the unsigned assemblies in your project to remove those authentication checks.
