How to skin the Date Time picker control in v3.0

    Good day.

I was wondering how to skin the DateTime picker control that shipped with v3.0 of the DataGrid.

I looked in the documentation and samples and could not find anything.

    Thank you.

No, this is currently not possible. We hope to re-work this control specifically to allow our users more flexibility.

That is a pity. When I looked at the product description on the website I got the idea that I could actually skin the date picker control so that it does not stand out so badly when used in our application.

And because the editors are WPF controls, designers can easily create their own themes for them, working with developers in the streamlined creation process that WPF delivers.

What options are open to us except buying the blueprint edition of the controls then?

Is there a time frame for when this control can be skinned? If I had a vanguard subscription will you be able to help me skin it?

Any news on this subject yet?

I had a look at the website and it still claims:

13 ready-to-use, pixel-perfect themes developers can use out of the box, including Classic, Luna, Aero, Royale, Office 2007, Windows Media Player 11, Glass, and Zune themes. And because the editors are WPF controls, designers can easily create their own themes for them, working with developers in the streamlined creation process that WPF delivers.

We're looking at making a sample that demonstrates how to style the datepicker. If it turns out to be to complicated, we're considering the possibility of refactoring the DatePicker to make it easier to style. We'll keep you posted, this is ongoing.
